We take online safety seriously
We’re committed to ensuring the highest possible standard of safeguarding
As teachers, we understand the significance of safeguarding. All tutors in our team are qualified Science teachers, so they have previously been DBS-checked and have been trained in safeguarding children and young people. We aim to provide a safe online educational environment for our tutees.
These include the following provisions:
- We encourage all communications between tutors, parents and students to take place via our communications platform, Microsoft Teams, and via our Tutorism email accounts. However, it is at the parents/carers’ discretion if they would like to communicate with the tutor outside of Tutorism’s platforms.
- We keep in contact with parents and carers if we have any concerns about tutees.
- All lessons are recorded (using our Microsoft 365 service) and stored on our OneDrive (see Privacy Policy) for up to 120 days, then they are deleted automatically. They can be shared to our parents/carers and students. Please request this with your tutor. You may find that you can’t access your recording, or your playback is disrupted. For this reason, we can’t guarantee lesson recordings, but to help us improve our safeguarding provisions and the quality of your revision materials, please keep your tech up to date. This may be because:
- Your internet connection was struggling.
- You refreshed the lesson space multiple times.
- Please allow at least 48 hours before a recording request is made, as it may take time to upload.
