How do I book a session?
Start by booking your free consultation to discuss your learning goals and subject needs. Once you're ready, you can book your first session in Science, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. Your tutor will send you a lesson invitation and any required resources via email.
How do online lessons work?
Our online lessons are delivered via Microsoft Teams, making it easy to join from any device. Each session is interactive and designed to keep students engaged through a variety of digital tools, including online whiteboards for collaborative problem-solving, PhET animations to visualise scientific concepts, exam-style questions for targeted practice, and digital worksheets tailored to your exam board.
How much do tutoring sessions cost?
All sessions are charged at a flat rate of £29 per hour. There are no hidden fees. Occasionally, we offer promotional rates, such as for referrals. Feel free to ask your tutor or email help@tutorism.co.uk for details.


Common Questions
Will I receive feedback after each lesson?
Yes! After every session, your tutor will provide feedback on progress and areas to improve. You can also opt to receive revision tasks tailored to your goals and exam board.
Can I contact my tutor between sessions?
Absolutely. You’ll have direct access to your personal tutor via email and/or phone for any questions, support, or resource requests between lessons.
Where can I get technical support?
If you're having trouble accessing lesson links, resources, or emails, please contact your tutor, or help@tutorism.co.uk. We aim to respond within a few days and will do our best to resolve any issues promptly.
Yes — all our tutors are qualified Science teachers with real classroom experience. They bring subject expertise, examiner experience, teaching skills, and a deep understanding of the curriculum to every session, ensuring students receive high-quality, targeted support.
Are tutors qualified?
How do I pay for a session?
You’re not required to pay before the session. We kindly ask that payment is made within 48 hours after the lesson is completed. Some families choose to pay in advance, which is also fine.
When do I need to pay?
Our tutors are sole traders and are paid directly by parents or carers. After booking, your tutor will confirm the preferred payment method — typically bank transfer or PayPal. We do not accept cash payments.
